Women at Hope Hornby
Haere mai!
At Hope Hornby Women, we aim to create an environment that fosters friendships between women in all stages of life through bible study and social events. The events we run range from laid back café mornings fortnightly on a Wednesday, to a weekend retreat or conference once a year. We also arrange girls nights which can involve anything from watching a movie or learning a new craft, to simply enjoying some great dessert together. We are also passionate about prayer ministry and in the process of developing this to be more available for women who seek individual prayer.

Knit & Stitch
Fortnightly on Wednesday 7:00 - 8:30pm
Hope Presbyterian Hornby, Reima Centre, 27 Amyes Road
Knit & Stitch aims to provide a place where both community and church ladies (although we would be open to men coming if they were interested!) can gather to knit, crochet or hand stitch. We have a range of different skills and are more than willing to share with newcomers wanting to learn a new skill. Some ladies work on their own projects, while others use donated yarn and materials to create garments or blankets to be donated to those in our local community and on occasion further afield. We welcome anyone who would like to join us whether experienced or beginners!
